Today was all about the food. Think it started with not eating enough last night. Had breakfast, cashews for a snack, but was famished by Noon. I had a salad with chicken, but not enough chicken, and by 1:30 I was hungry. HUNGRY!! Again.
There was left over pizza brought in for a lunch meeting and I caved and had that. I haven’t had pizza for months. MONTHS. And this pizza? Awful! The crust tasted like it was made from Bisquick mix. Plus it was wheat and I haven’t been eating wheat. Blew that!
Flash forward to my driving home tonight from the bus stop. This is about a 10 minute drive and the whole time I’m thinking about what I’m going to have for dinner, none of it healthy or stuff that fuels my body. I was leaning towards frozen burritos with cheese melted over them and covered in salsa. And then something sweet, like cookies. Oh, I was on a roll. Remember the term pig out?
But as I was nearing home I got a grip. I stopped at the store, picked up a small steak. I came home and sliced up some vegetables and threw them in the oven. Now I’m waiting for them to get done so I can have dinner. You’re looking at red potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots seasoned with Mrs. Dash’s chipotle season.

So, the pizza? Not a great choice and made in haste. But instead of totally trashing the day, I’m trying to salvage it with a decent dinner. Yay for me?
