Flashback Friday! This was me in 2006 right after I finished walking the Portland Marathon. Sorry its a little dark and far away, but I think you can see I’m quite heavy. I trained all summer for this and gained weight and probably was about 215-ish. (Funny how I can remember several years later how much I weighed at certain points of my life.) You cannot walk all the miles and still eat all the food. Just like you can’t run all the miles and eat all the food. We were doing pretty well until we hit about mile 17 and then slowed down a lot. 9+ hours later we were done. I hope to be quicker than that this year. :)
