Tonight’s run seemed like a real suck fest.  My left hamstring was sore.  I really should have foam rolled last night, but I was so wiped out from the track workout I just looked at it and it seemed like a monumental effort to even try and foam roll.  And tonight I kept checking my cadence and couldn’t seem to get it up to 22 although I might have been missing that first step between looking at my watch and counting.  I kept hitting 20 or 21 steps on one foot.  And I really felt that track workout and this run in my legs at the end.  It was supposed to be a strength run.  I’m guessing that means a run that is followed by speed intervals the day before so it helps build your endurance and strength?  I cut it a little short—4.25 miles.  47.30.  Of course, the pace was 11:18 and I thought “what the hell?”  I thought it was an awful run. Go figure.  T

Oh, and I think I got heckled for the first time ever. I heard these kids yelling “workin’!”  and someone said “workin’ girl!” and I looked over and there was a car  of guys with this song playing and the lyrics were ”workin’, workin” and the guys were looking at me and going “workin’.”  Uh, yeah, sure, okay?  And then I thought “did I just have the first time I ever got heckled as a runner?”  A rite of passage.  Although no one had better throw anything at me because they may end up with it thrown back at them.
